Lily of the Alley

This Ditch Lily (Hemerocallis fulva) grows everywhere in Chicago. They line all the alleys of our neighborhood throughout the summer so I’ve always jokingly called them “Lily of the Alley.” People treat them like a weed but I think they are gorgeous. You could do a lot worse than having these along the side of your building and around the yard.
